Above all, his poor performance in managing the perception of his administration directly led to the election of Barak Hussein Obama, Jr., a radical ideologue who was not even eligible to be a candidate. When the country needed a strong leader, GW simply never had anything to say. Communications is part of the job.I agree with most of your analysis, however to characterize the US fiscal spending form 2001 - 2006 as anywhere near the RATE of spending 2006-2010 is RIDICULOUS and lazy on you part!

In regard to the post 2006 spending: Of course GW found himself in tough straits. But do you honestly think a strong leader would have allowed that to happen? You can blame it on Congress. You can blame it on RINOs. I blame it on a weak President, a weak leader who did little to inspire his party in electing proper Republican candidates at a very crucial juncture.
Of course GW's performance was better than the public perception of it. Moot point. The damage done was real enough and we now are looking at a decade-long repair

(America might survive Obama. It cannot survive those who vote for him)

George was a RINO, but spending and taxes are not the real reason for his RINO status. Open borders is on the top of that list.
