Speculation upon speculation is fine for a murder mystery,but in real life, and this is real, such speculations are a perversion of what must be done by duty to the Constitution and the rule of Law — to have a proceeding with the ability to subpoena, depose, compel testimony in order to get to the FACTS in this matter of highest importance. Okay, so whom do you want to subpoena, depose, and compel to testify? What facts do you want that aren't already in the public domain?
