Plausible for sure.. but does the army, their families and all who belong to that class really want to live with Sharia? Do they really need the MB populist rhetoric to retain power.. or is the army so far gone that they’re willing to throw what freedoms they have away for some deal with the devil.. doesn’t the average Egyptian know the plight of their Iranian cousins? Are they stupid enough to be lead around by the MB hate speech.. I guess these are rhetorical questions.
About 17% of Egyptians are Copts, Christians, 13.6 million of them, and they own about 50% of the wealth of Egypt. They ain't going for any Sharia nonsense.
