I call BS on that headline, her negatives are 33%.
They are independent numbers. The headline just notes that however many support Palin, they are the least loyal to the party. It doesn’t say how many support Palin, just that whoever said they did were also willing to threaten not to support the other candidates at a higher rate.
That will be popular here; if the same numbers came out for a moderate republican candidate, like say Rudy Giuliani, the same folks would scream bloody murder about the “backstabbing RINOs” who won’t support a conservative who wins the party’s nomination.
In this case, we find that the more moderate a candidate is perceived by the conservatives, the more loyal the candidate’s supporters are to the party’s nominee, whoever that is.

Her “negatives” are essentially imaginary, since they consist of those that wouldn’t vote GOP if their life depended on it.
