It is my 1st gift of choice for every bridal shower I am invited to attend. I am on my 2nd copy as my original was worn to tatters. When my husband’s grandmother passed away her pristine copy was one of the things I asked if I could have.
I picked up a 1943 version of “The Joy of Cooking at a garage sale when I was in my teens because it was the favorite cookbook for everyone in my family and I wanted to have a copy for my own home. It is still the most used cookbook I have in my kitchen and for now is still holding together quite well. The cookbook is actually quite a bit older than me!
