Actually, one of the best HS teachers I had was the head basketball coach who taught World History...and our team won state.

I was a soph and still remember his "lesson" on swearing. He said if you use a four letter word to insult somebody and they understand it, they aren't as insulted as if you use a four or five syllable word that they don't understand. "Call them a procrastinator...they won't know what that means and will be highly insulted."

Had a PE teacher in my junior/senior year, Mr. Hastings, who was also a history teacher that use to hand out little nuggets of wisdom like this too. I’m 57, he is long gone, but I still remember him with respect.
