You know, recently I have been thinking. This Egyptian unrest should point to one thing: All REAL Americans should put our 2nd Amendment FIRST!!

The Shah of Iran was not overthrown by Kohmeni. Iranian liberals, communists, traditional Muslims, and non-Persians joined together. The Islamists then took over.
In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood is already involved in the riots. Mohamed El Baradei's wife is not only Iranian, but kin to a few radical Mullahs. Heads Islamists win, tails Islamists win.

According to this, pistols and revolvers are not banned in Egypt (although long guns are)...

It is tangential to the important policy considerations most here are discussing in view of the dire likelihood of a Muslim-Brotherhood-dominated government coming to power in Egypt, but a Copt who attends my little (Rum) Orthodox church reports that the police are seen as one of the most corrupt institutions in the Egyptian government. He reports that people in Egypt, both Muslim and Christian, are pleased and relieved to have the army replacing the police on the streets of Cairo and other major cities.

If this chaos leads to 5 to 7 dollar a gallon gas soon, we could be seeing the same thing here.

Remember “Drill Baby, Drill!”? Remember the Libiots reaction to it? Obama cuts off drilling in the gulf and gives a pass to every foreign nation out for our throats. His enviroweenie brethren go into hysterics at the thought of tapping into our OWN resources anywhere in OUR nation. (California's coast would be a good place to start tapping but no!) And now that the poop is hitting the fan and we are at the ‘mercy’ of what results from this chaos in the ME.

Again, everyone needs to remind their liberal friends and family if gas goes through the stratosphere pricewise because of the crisis in Egypt, that THEY helped create the current problem stateside.

Ugh! I lived through the Rodney King riots and don't ever want to experience that again!

Defending one’s home now qualifies one to be labeled a “vigilante” by the media. Gotta love it.
