There are going to be at least a dozen candidates in this primary and MW has a good shot at standing out (haha). I think I will vote for him.

A progressive African-American senator from Texas? An excellent addition to the Congressional Black Caucus and the Progressive Caucus.
What's that? You say he's a conservative?
Oh! Then another Uncle Tom. Another "lawn jockey for the far right", just like Clarence Tom. (/liberal)

Texas ping!
I like Michael Williams and would gladly vote for him.

He is our next Senator. He should have already been there.

He spoke at my local Tea Party rally.

I met him during the campaign season when I was working for a Texas State Rep. candidate. Very nice guy. I believe he has my vote.

I would like to see the most conservative candidate win, and I hope it’s Mr. Williams. We need new people in the Senate to replace the RINO Senators we have now. Willians would be a good start.

Ladies and gentlemen, behold, the next Senator from the great State of Texas. Michael Williams is a proven conservative who will not “grow in office” like Hutchison did and like Cornyn is well on his way to doing.

One poll does not an election make but it is a starter..... There will most likely be others involved and some mentioned may well not enter the fray. In fact Paul has said it hasn't even entered his mind to run.
PPP poll, Jan. 14 - 16, 2011
23% .. Dewhurst
21% .. Paul
14% .. Abbott
7% .. Joe Barton
6% .. Elizabeth Ames Jones
3% .. Tom Leppert, Michael Williams, Ted Cruz
1% .. Roger Williams
19% .. undecided or preferring someone else
