share Egypt riots escalate: The riots raging on in Egypt have spread into several prisons in the country Saturday, as at last eight detainees were reportedly killed in a jail holding political prisoners.
Prison guards reportedly fired live ammunition and tear gas in the northern Egypt prison as detainees attempted to stage a mutiny at the site, which also holds Muslim Brotherhood prisoners. Security forces were reinforcing their presence at jails throughout the country as result of the violence there.
Hamas sources have reported that a few Palestinian detainees have escaped Egyptian prisons during the unrest, and are making their way to the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, medical sources in Egypt confirmed that the overall number of fatalities in the riots raging in Egypt since Tuesday has reached at least 82 people. Some 2,000 others were hurt in protests against President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule.
Full-fledged chaos had been reported at several regions of Egypt, as the masses crowd public squares, and banks, government buildings, and businesses are being looted. In Cairo, some 1,000 protestors attempted to break into the Interior Ministry headquarters. Al-Jazeera reported that police forces were attempting to disperse the demonstrators using live fire. At least three people were shot and killed in the clashes, the network said.
Looting an lynching Overall, tens of thousands of Egyptians are demonstrating in the streets of Cairo and Alexandria, and according to some reports there is no security forces' presence on the streets. Elsewhere, reports are coming in about the torching of government buildings, police stations, and security headquarters nationwide.
Some people have exploited the ongoing riots to settle the score with Egyptian business figures. The al-Arabiya network reported a mass looting of businesses in the Suez area belonging to a prominent businessman, including a lynching at one of the sites. Just like in Tunisia, reports are coming in of "popular committees" set up to prevent attacks on businesses and homes. Overnight, attempts were made to loot the Egypt National Museum.

Authorities in Egypt have declared that a curfew will be imposed in the country from 4 pm today to 8 am Sunday morning, yet enforcing it in the current atmosphere of total chaos seems a largely impossible task.
Egypt's business sector is attempting to minimize the damage, with trading in Cairo's stock exchange suspended following the massive 10.5% drop Thursday. Local banks will not be operating Sunday for fear of looting, yet the country's Central Bank says that bank accounts are safe and that liquidity is not an issue.
According to a report by the Arab-language BBC Saturday afternoon, Egyptian army units were attempting to prevent protestors from breaking into the Central Bank in Cairo and looting it.

Last night Obama was urging the Egyptian government to urge restraint against the “peaceful protesters”. Right.

Every day is a “day of anger” in Egypt. It comes from their corrupt governments, their primitive Islamic preachers, from their mind-numbing propoganda against Israel and the Infidel, and above all, their lack of basic respect for the individual and his property.
There is almost nothing we can do about it, except be wary of them.
Obama’s best move...STFU and see what happens. If he picks a side we as a nation will surely be the looser.
Three scenerios become evident very quickly. Either POTUS Obama was clueless to what was about to happen in Egypt, which is an unforgivable sin and treason to the USA, or he did know what was coming , and....looked the other way, feigning, the deaf, dumb and blind mantra, or....he was in on it up to his teeth to further work on damaging the United States and putting our nation in harm’s way!!! You decide which one you think it is. One thing is for sure, he is playing the role of “the deer caught in the headlights” response”!!! I frequently read a non-partisan financial blog called zerohedge.com. The blogger there and some of the blogs contributors put the blame for these riots on Bernanke and Geitner and the Obama admin’s economic blunders. I’m stil trying to see the direct link between undermining the US Dollar, as the aforementioned have been busily doing, and the unrest in Egypt, Tunisia, and other nearby states. The links likely exist, but I guess I need a little more explanation.
The Irony, of course, is that Zer0 planned, acted and created this entire uprising.
He has delivered Tunisia and Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood, and soon Jordan, the collapse backward of Iraq, and then finally Saudi Arabia and the pipsqueek states.
Soon after that, war with Israel, and Zer0 and the American left will try to involve the US Military in support of the Muslim nations.
Then the Earth's population gets reduced by half.

The Egyptian would prefer to live through this, for the most part. Zer0 has given them a guarantee that they will not, (similar to what Carter did to the Shah of Iran and his security forces who were willing to put down the communist-Islamic takeover attempt). Why should they fight when they will get the Serb treatment? This was Zer0's threat to the Egyptian Government to use restraint (or else).
The sooner the Brotherhood is dead the sooner things will calm down, if that's possible.

Global depression leads to political unrest. The global depression has been exacerbated by the clueless policies of the political elite in this country and the effects are felt worldwide. The most fragile states are the first to fall. If it keeps up there could be a domino effect.

Very interesting post, especially the part about delivering to the Muslim Brotherhood. He has done so by inaction as much as by any action. He has Zeroed our allies and opened doors for our enemies simply by being an abysmally weak Commander in Chief. Used to be a joke calling him "Present" instead of President, but he really isn't even present for issues of national security.
