I had no idea that Romney announced his bid for the candidacy. When did this happen? We speak of Sarah Palin in the same way and she has not announced either. Sometimes I think it would be better to wait and see who specifically is going to run.

Rush Limbaugh supported Mitt Romney too back in 2008. A lot of people did a lot of stupid things simply trying to stop John McCain after the 2008 primary essentially became a two-way race.

Think back to 2008; there were no solid conservatives running as first-tier candidates. For many people Romney was as close as you were going to get. Even Rush Limbaugh got behind Romney just before the voting started.

Give Demint a break for 2007-08.

Now if Demint endorses Romney in this election cycle that is a different kettle of fish and he cannot be excused for that.

I don’t remember Rush supporting Romney at all. I do, however, remember who Rush did not support and that had always been McCain.

I just hope that we get someone new in the list of presumptive runners other than Palin, Pawlenty and Romney. Doing something stupid is what the state Republican party elites do best.
