SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Rush Limbaugh's imitation of the Chinese language during a recent speech made by Chinese President Hu Jintao has stirred a backlash among Asian-American lawmakers in California and nationally.

California state Sen. Leland Yee, a Democrat from San Francisco, is leading a fight in demanding an apology from the radio talk show host for what he and others view as racist and derogatory remarks against the Chinese people.

You are an American, you know that every ethnic group has at one time or another been, either the idiot or the villain in the public media, especially Hollywood. The Irish were considered trash, the Germans were spies and worse, Italians were Mafia, white Southerners are rednecks, etc. In the scheme of things Hollywood has treated Asians pretty well. As a child, I loved western movies and the orientals were portrayed as gentle, hard working, people.

Some people have no sense of humor.

Try being a German-American in a post WWI & WWII world. Lots of chances to mimic the gutteral Germanic language and Herr Hitler. Some of the things have humor, but others are so stupid, you would think folks believe Germany had no history before 1934.

Try to look up German history in a library or on the internet, and the first 10,000 hits are about Nazis.

But, that’s not the worst of it. The stupid liberals in Hollywood are still making movies about terrorists and depicting them as neo-Nazis (German types) - never once do they depict terrorists as Middle-Easterners with Islamic ties. And, these folks get off the hook by the media who depict them as “Asians”.

Back to round one. Maybe the Asian caucus ought to be offended that Islamic terrorists are lumped in with their more peace-loving group - and leave Rush out of it. Go after the MSM, if you really want to be offended.

Yes, Many of the Bugs Bunny cartoons and 3 Stooges movies done during WWII are a good example. If the North Koreans,Viet Cong, radical Muzzies, were depicted in the same fashion the new castrotti politically correct "not sees" would be screaming bloody murder.
