There was a substantial AlQaida ground support team in the DC area for 9/11. presumably there was another in NYC, and elsewhere.

These three guys showed up AFTER the dispersal of the ground support teams so they were on their own ~ end of mission.

They've probably gone wherever the other ground support guys went.
