I got to question the wisdom of paying Bristol Palin $20 G to talk about teen pregnancy. What's she going to say? Don't have a baby out-of-wedlock as a teenager or you will have to take a $20 G an hour job telling college kids not to have babies out of wedlock as teenagers? Transcripts of her previous public appearances on the subject are available on the web. Try reading one, then make a knowledgable comment aobut what she says. Right now the truth is that you have no idea and are just mouthing off with meaningless drivel.

Many Florida State students objected to their fees going to William Ayers’ speaking engagement but they were told, “Too bad.”

They were not going to pay her $20K. $20K is the amount they had planned to spend for the entire panel discussion event. Bristol’s speaking fee was reportedly half that much.

Oh, good grief. For the love of God, anyone with two functioning brain cells to rub together knows that Bristol is a rare exception to the rule of what kind of life single teenage moms are relegated to. It means missing out on the social life they would have had, having to go to work at a low-paying job (if they are lucky enough to even find one in this ObamEconomy) and forgetting about or postponing a college education.

Doesn’t change the facts. It also negates your effectiveness as a spokesperson who has actually suffered the real consequences.
Especially when you want 20 thousand dollars for an hour.

RE :”
Anger over a decision to pay Bristol Palin several thousand dollars in student fees to talk to Washington University students about abstinence led to a decision Thursday night to nix Palin’s appearance on a panel here next month. “
Does this make any sense?

I didn't understand this either. If I was counting on Palin being elected president or just trying to help her look good, I wouldn't be posting an article like this. Things just get crazier and crazier.

How can Brisol get $ 15-30,000 when the WHOLE panel was $ 20,000.
If she wasn't Bristol Palin,or the subject, abstinence, there wouldn't be an issue.
After all , we cannot slow down the epidemic rate of HPV for college kids, now can we?
