It wasn't a speech. She was just reading another essay. A speech is delivered before a crowd and if delivered correctly, will have enough emotion and fire in it that it will stir the audience. Frankly, I was not that impressed with Bachmann's performance. She is soooooo much better when she is just speaking extemporaneously without a script.

personally I think we should ban teleprompters at all public speeches and events. Anyone can read a Teleprompter, but it takes a special effort and a lot of natural talent to deliver a speech. Tuesday night was an exercise in essay reading. I didn't hear a single speech.

Reverence for the Constitution necessarily shines a favorable light on efforts to support and defend it.

A distaste for the Constitution brings criticism for the same.
