The state would charge $100 for a copy of President Obama’s birth records under a bill introduced in the Legislature by five Democrats. It would change a privacy law barring the release of birth records unless the person seeking them has a tangible interest. The bill has not been scheduled for a public hearing, and cannot move forward unless that happens. But the idea behind it is to end skepticism over Mr. Obama’s birthplace while raising a little money for a government.

My thought is that he was probably born in the US, but he obviously doesn't want disclosure of the background detail on the form (father's name, race, other issues) to come to light. Perhaps that is why the long form was destroyed, or now safely hidden from public view. And the same is true with the hospital records. There is also no record of his birth at an Hawaiian hospital which is also very strange...
And yes, he may be "heading into the abyss on his own" but he deserves any help we can offer to assist his fall.

He cheated and dirty-tricked his way into the IL congress. He didn’t sponsor any bills, and other than his ghost written [yes; Michelle admits it was written by Ayers] book, what has he done? Off teleprompter he staggers around with three ‘uh’s per second. (If you haven’t watched a Youtube video of his gaffes lately, you’ve probably forgotten how stupid he sounds off prompter.) I’ve seen countless examples of his truly awful grammatical blunders, whenever he’s speaking spontaneously. Honestly, it’s pretty bad any way you slice it.
