Bachmann is articulate and focused, and it is ALL about her platform and beliefs and NOT about her or how she looks or how she feels or how she emotes or how she focuses her eyes on the camera of the TEA PARTY EXPRESS who asked her to speak.
Rep. Michele Bachmass is ruthless, utterly ruthless, with remaining entirely focused on point, and it is her exquisitely defined self-discipline and humble egoless self regard which keeps HER out of the way of her MESSAGE.
She drives Mr. Chrissey "Bo-Tingles" mad because she is impervious to all his attempts to lampoon & ridicule her, she is imperturbable as he rudely interrupts her, she never remarks on his spittle, she NEVER takes any of his bait, LOLOL
I don’t support Bachmann or Palin because of what they look like. I was a Palin fan for two years based on what I read of her performance, well before McCain named her as his VP nominee or I saw that she was beautiful. With Bachmann, I decided I liked her based on hearing one of her speeches, again without seeing her. It’s ideas, values, and ability that matter to me. Still, to many voters, it’s also about image. We have the former junior US Senator from Illinois in our White House now, a man with no experience, no ability, no positive ideas, and no background that he will release to the voters, just because of generous editing, camera work, and other cosmetic considerations. America cannot afford to choose the challenger to that socialist based solely on cosmetics, but we also cannot afford to ignore that consideration.
I was a Fred Thompson fan initially four years ago, but his campaign speeches could put his own staff to sleep. There are others who have patriotic American values but lack the style to win. In terms of substance and style, it looks to me like the three leaders are currently Palin, Bachmann, and DeMint, and DeMint has assured us that he’s not running this time around. We have to work on the superficial aspects of Bachmann’s and Palin’s speeches (and Palin has improved dramatically there!), so that voters will listen to and be positively disposed emotionally toward the substance.
