Most of the Indians here are on work visas, since it's exceedingly hard to walk from Mumbai to Dallas. Whether that's a good idea is another discussion. It is already against the law for illegal aliens to receive SSI, Section 8, Food Stamps, TANIF and the rest, but with a market for fake documents, they're able to do so, so how do new laws stop that?

You do not seem to be aware that illegal aliens enter the United States in two distinct ways: approximately 60 percent cross a border illegally; and the remaining 40 percent overstay a legal visa.

Indian guest workers are included in that 40%. They can return to India the same way they came here which common sense tells you was not "walking from Mumbai".

I did not mention new laws, but here's a thought - how about we enforce the laws already on the books? How about we give those in charge of immigration the tools to perform their job in an accurate and timely manner? How about we enforce laws regarding document fraud? How about we return to being a nation run by the rule of law?

It seems to me that you seem to be working very hard to justify Palin's being in favor of a pathway to citizenship.

No, it seems you are working very hard to exclude the only true conservative with a chance to defeat the Obama regime in 2012. Please tell me how Governors Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty or any other candidate now being seriously mentioned is an improvement on Governor Palin.
