No place in America better symbolizes the ruination brought by Democrats than Detroit. The city has been run by Democrats for decades, while its economic life has been in thrall to the unions, which drove up wages to unsustainable levels, ruining the American auto industry.

The UK Guardian has published a selection of stunning photographs taken by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre, showing the ruins of once grand buildings in the Motor City. It is heartbreaking to see -- almost as if a war was fought there.

Actually, there was, but it was a political war won by Democrats and unions, with the results starkly obvious to all not blinded by ideology. If President Obama has his way with over-regulation, union bailouts, borrowing and spending, and "spreading the wealth around," he can do for America what the Dems have done for Detroit.

They don’t have the level of freeloaders on welfare that we do. If we had less and what not, we would be peaceful and productive as well.

That redevelopment act was a loooooong time in coming. A client at the firm where I worked in the mid- to late- 60’s was involved then in Union Station refurbishing and redevelopment, lobbying PR, raising $$, etc. Interestingly, he’d made his $$$ in the early days of the airlines.

That’s it really. So many people talk about “white flight” or Urban Sprawl, as if it’s some infection, but it’s PEOPLE that are triggering these changes, not some bacteria. Until we thin out the ranks of those on welfare, we aren’t going to undo any of this dmaage or be able to rebuild. Too many people have too much time on their hands and use it to make trouble.

Whites are leaving for a reason and it’s not the whites who are the reason. As for the ‘white noose,’ this is also not something that whites have caused.
