I realize that modern SOTU tradition calls for the President to personally recognize individuals who are in attendance, and I realize this kid is a good Democrat, but he is really getting a lot of excess mileage out the noteriety he gained in a violent shooting...

Yeah, I thought it was weird how they are focusing on this Pillsbury dough boy....by his own words he ducked down and hid, and then popped up when all was clear and sat Giffords up and held her hand....wow, impressive. What about the old lady that first jumped the shooter, or the guy who ran up stream through the fleeing crowd and help take the guy down?
The cameras showed a close-up of Kelly at the Tucson Memorial Pep Rally. He looked as sickened by the cheers & applause as I was. Bless him for having the good sense to stay home. Too bad the mom of the 9-year-old girl is willing to be used as a prop. On her daughter's behalf I say shame on her.
What about the woman last December that tried to knock the gun from the Pensacola school board gunman with her PURSE? Now that took GUTS to try something like that!
I wonder if Obama will point out to everyone that the intern is gay. After all, when someone who is gay does something great, their gayness is the most important thing about them.
