Wow. Two of my consulting clients belong to the Zetas, a new-age group who are predicting a massive disaster in the New Madrid Fault Line. According to them, this quake will cause the Mississippi River to widen to 100 miles and cause utter devastation in a huge portion of the country. It’s kind of unsettling that DHS considers that same area as having a high enough probability of a quake to order these provisions.
Preparedness/Survival Ping!
If the New Madrid goes like it did last time, they’ll need more than just those MRE’s. Last time it toppled chimneys in Boston and rang church bells in Charolotte. Most, if not all of the natural gas and fuel pipelines running to the Northeast will be broken. Buildings and bridges all across the Midwest will be toppled.
Don’t know what the Zeta’s timeline is - but it WILL happen. Some day. (I’m in the Pacific NW - I rue the day when the massive 8 or 9 offshore one happens again).
What’s their time line?
Not that I’d buy it necessarily, just curious.
Veal if it widens to 100 miles. That would be one massive sink hole. My home town of st. Louis gone. Oh my!
I recall reading the Zeta blog a while back. Yeah, the New Madrid fault is worth our concern and attention, but the Zetas factor the gravitational pull of "Planet X" into the causes of the coming earthquake, IIRC. Sorta makes one take their predictions with a *big* grain of salt.
