I know several people who were fence-sitters on Sarah but when the whole MSM giants pretty much assaulted her unjustly over Tucson, the GOP establishment stayed silent and especially the harsh criticism of her defending herself, their eyes seemed to opened and they have been behind her ever since

I can understand the sentiment, and almost would agree with it.
But as a Christian, I know the statement is way over the top. I’m sure Palin would agree.

I know but Rep. Franks was using an Idiom of sorts, It is an phrase that has a figurative meaning not necessarily literally - what he meant it to defend Sarah and the thought that she is a violent person as ridiculous
People use figure of speeches and idioms all the time

See what happens if you were to tell a liberal: “If every person were like Sarah Palin, this world would be a peaceful, beautiful world to live in.” The (few) liberals I know would probably fall off the floor, if you said such a thing to them.
Those who managed to keep their composure would either break out in a fit of psychotic laughter, or would sputter incoherently.
What Trent Franks said about Sarah Palin is such a strong distillation of truth, that it could probably cause liberals and assorted moonbats to go unconscious upon hearing it.
