Obama to Press Centrist Agenda in His Address By JACKIE CALMES and JEFF ZELENY

WASHINGTON — President Obama will outline an agenda for “winning the future” in his State of the Union address on Tuesday night, striking a theme of national unity and renewal, as he stresses the need for both government spending in key areas and an attack on the budget deficit.

Mr. Obama previewed the themes in a video e-mailed on Saturday evening to Democratic activists who had helped in his election campaign, mostly liberals. But the video made plain that his speech would be geared more broadly toward the political center, to independent voters and business owners and executives alienated by the expansion of government and the partisan legislative fights of the past two years.

“My number one focus,” he said, “is going to be making sure that we are competitive, and we are creating jobs not just now but well into the future.”

Advisers said the president would describe five “pillars” for ensuring America’s competitiveness and economic growth: innovation, education, infrastructure, deficit reduction and reforming government.

The annual address on Tuesday, with much of the nation watching, will pull together themes suggested by Mr. Obama over the past two months as he has moved rapidly following the midterm elections to retool his presidency.

Centrist? Its a reprise of last year’s SOTU address, except for Obamacare. Its about expanding government, not retrenchment. Its the wrong RX for our weak economy. He must be kidding if he thinks the American people will buy platitudes. Americans have heard Obama deliver those before. What they expect is action to turn the economy around and create new jobs.

“Obama to Press Centrist Agenda in His Address”

Yes, somewhere between Lenin and Stalin.

Per your source, it seems the German public was no different in their reception of Hilter's May 1935 Reichstag speech (in question) than the U.S. public in their reception of Obama's Tucson speech. No doubt, there will be more of the same such reception when Obama delivers his SOTU.

From your source...

The response of the German public [to Hitler's speech] was predictably positive. Newsweek reported “Britons found the speech reassuring” ... For itself, Newsweek saw in it a number of “conciliatory points."

Amazing that the American public, like the German public of Hitler's time, is so stupid as to believe that men of evil intentions are incapable of hiding those intentions behind a speech either committed to memory or read from a teleprompter.

"Words, just words?" Well, yes...that's the point, isn't it?

It would seem that "centrist" is the new word for "progressive," which was the new word for "socialist."

Fascist power freaks all.

An evil person, one with no morals or scruples or with an agenda, can stand before a crowd and say whatever he/she wants to say — IOW, LIE!

Obongo Bozo is that evil person — he is a congenital and habitual liar.

What else do we need to know?

PS The New York Slimes, the Washington Compost the Chicago LIEbune, the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation and other LIEberal “news” organizations will parrot the party LIE in an attempt to pacify the masses.

They will peddle their “Obama is moving to the center BS” in the hopes that they can dampen the fires of revolution stirring in the country.

Such a tactic will not work as it has in the past.

The people are more interconnected now than ever before — the difference this time is the Internet, which is a HUGE BS detector.

We the People are calling out and exposing the shysters, the liars, the imposters, the LIEberals.

The Tea Party is real, and we mean business!

BOHICA, LIEberals! 2012 approaches!

I don’t think he will insult the supreme court. That was last year. But I would bet he insults the repubs in the house and the voters who put them in office.
