Aw. Hells Bells. You Southeners don’t know what cold is. I’m eight miles from the Atlantic Ocean in NJ here and it’s been in the ‘teens for days with a blizzard on the way next Tuesday. Going down to the single digits tonight. Gotta keep the water running or the pipes freeze and it’s only January. This is nothing.
Amen. We’ve been below 20 for days and days, with snow on top of it. I think it’s 12 degrees right now.

You say “its only January” but, February 1st is the date that always gives me hope because every winter weather record of any kind around here was set in January, typically the last week.
I’m in NJ too. Did you just say blizzard on Tues? I better go check Accuweather right now...

Shore we do. It gets a might chilly here in Texas when the temp. drops to 90, but it’s downright cold if it goes below 75. And the lakes here freeze solid if it hits 60.
We prefer a more comfortable range of 110 - just right for backyard BBQs and rodeos.

I'm not talking about the cold. I was referring to driving on ice. It's not an easy thing yet northerners tend to slam us southerners when they see all the wrecks we have down here during iceovers.
