Mr. Apple Pan Dowdy and I got married in the little log cabin church that is inside the Grand Teton Natl Park near the entrance, back in 1970. Then backpacked up around Leigh Lake for our honeymoon. Over the years we have gone back, taking our kids and then our grandkids to experience that awesome back-county experience. Needless to say ... that area is very dear to us, so many great memories .... among them backpacking up to the snow line (snow in the summer), sharing the annual ripe huckleberries with the bears, watching moose from up-close, trout fishing on Bear Paw Lake way up in the back county, and I could go on and on.
Yellowstone is awesome but Grand Teton Natl Park is "Heaven".
By the way..... one park pass covers BOTH parks
Mmmmkay.
Uh oh! Should we cancel our planned family vacation trip for the end of July?
Yellowstone has the novelties and one of a kind attractions - geysers, waterfalls, mud pots, etc, but Grand Teton beats it hands down for sheer beauty.
Inconceivable.
How do you know?
Are you a stalker?
Dagnabit!!!! Just when it looks like the Detroit Lions are on the verge of being a decent football team.
I don’t know a whole lot about stalking but from what I’ve seen it takes a lot of hard work and concentration. I’m really not able to focus for that long.
Okay.
So, how do you know so much about what he posts?
Your comment in post number 46 seems to be a complaint.
Exactly! The blast alone would take out the west half of the country and the resulting ash and gasses would take out the rest of us. I'm glad to hear scientists don't think it is ready to erupt just yet, but IIRC, it has erupted about every 600,000 years in the past. It has been 640,000 years since the last eruption.
You’ve been an ass for as long as I’ve been here and you just keep proving it over and over. Take up knitting.
You're the ass.
This is the kind of stuff I have a reputation of posting.
Santorini Eruption Much larger Than Originally Believed
"KINGSTON, R.I. August 23, 2006 An international team of scientists has found that the second largest volcanic eruption in human history, the massive Bronze Age eruption of Thera in Greece, was much larger and more widespread than previously believed."
Your inability to check easily verifiable facts automatically disqualifies your argument. Have a nice day.
Isn’t there some natural catastrophe that endangers Washington, DC? Im really hopin’....
I'm a celery stalker.
Yeah, but they reside in the White House. :(
