Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D., Texas) made headlines this week for claiming that health-care repeal means killing Americans. In an exchange with National Review Online at the Capitol tonight, she used China as an example of universal coverage. From the tape: JACKSON LEE: I was with a Chinese delegation in Texas on Sunday, and one [visitor] came up to me and said, What is this debate about health care? We think this is something everybody should have in China. Thats what this person said to me; he was baffled. Of course, their system is different. NRO: Theyre communist.

China has no national health care for average citizens.
She is so dumb.
Ferociously arrogant and pathetically uninformed/misinformed.
Without the slightest hint of insight.
Sure they do! It's called take what we give you and like it or we shoot you and put an end to the matter here and now!

Yes it does, it is called take care of yourself and stay healthy. We may need your organs to sell.
If she ever goes into a hospital maybe her anesthetic should be little accupuncture pins.
But then, maybe she has a doll for that!
“China has no national health care for average citizens.”
Stupid Jackson Lee is obviously referring to all those
FREE abortions.
I would never defend SJL, but I’ve got to tell you, we got a half-hour exam/consult with both doctor and nurse, and three perscriptions for twenty-two dollars when we took my chinese daughter to the doctor for a nasty chest cold last year.
No, they don’t fix harelips or clubbed feet, but that office visit cost the same as my co-pay here at home.
This is correct, and Americans should have this echoed in their ears until they are half deaf.
Health care in China is very, very poor, and any better health care is given on preferential bases.
Well, truth be told, that's an insult to dumb people...
Everyone in the US does have health care. Everyone does NOT have health insurance. Still, everyone can get care. That seems to get lost in the discussion.
Texas needs to get rid of this old Commie.
Almost 300 million in China have no insurance. Funny how low the price of a doctor’s office visit will go when they know you don’t have any insurance.
What’s that three months pay for the regular Chinese citizen ;)
