How are you going to pay the Sheriff if the currency is worthless? Why would the Sheriff even go to work?
These aren’t rhetorical questions I’m really want to know.
How are you going to pay the Sheriff if the currency is worthless? Power is half of "money and power!"
Sheriff has a car
Sheriff/county has emergency powers to req necessities, like gas
Ok, he's mobile. He protects some people, so the local cafe feeds him, he makes sure they get coffee from the grocery shipments before they come in. Etc.
Consider Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his "protection posse" he announced today. Now consider the Feds are in shambles, the cities are islands of dysfunction, and the only safe places are out in the country. There are 3,000 counties in the USA and that's the only true functioning law enforcement left.
It's a long way till things would get that bad, but my point is that the Sheriff's dollars are "worth" more than your dollars or mine. Understand?
