Jim, I found you site after a friend directed me there in '03, when my son was leaving for Iraq.

I lurked for awhile, and enjoyed the "no-advertising" on the site!

I really found the information from fellow freepers here the most helpful when the war was young. Plus "Kathy in Alaska" and the "canteen" did a superb job, and continue to do so now!

All I need to do is ask a question, and sure enough some freeper will have an answer. I am amazed at how educated and informed your subcribers are! Almost all are a valuable asset. I see onyx on almost constantly! She is a Freep-a-holic! She does a LOT of lifting for FR! Bless her!

FR is a major part of my life, (especially since the son is headed out for tour #4 to Afghan.), and just wanted to say thanks to you and your family for bringing it to me.

Thank you very much for your very kind words (Freep-a-holic!)...lol. Yes! I am much more active and visible during our FReep-a-thons, as are all of our FReep-a-thon crew. I'm here a lot because, like you, I love FR and our FReeper community. I usually stay pretty much busy with Sarah Palin’s Ping List and trying to keep up with her.
Prayers & Hugs and please know again, that your hero son in Afghanistan remains in my prayers. I have not forgotten and I won't.
