If you look at the performance of Broadwind Energy, which makes windmill towers and gear boxes (BWEN, formerly Tower Tech) and Orion which makes energy efficient lighting (OESX)you will see neither company is profitable, both are bleeding cash, and without gov't grants and tax incentives for their customers, neither would be able to survive in a free market.
For Obama to go to Manty and highlight these companies would be a perfect illustration of how out of touch gov't is with how to create jobs.
It is possible that Barry will actually head over to Manitowoc Company which makes huge cranes, but I am not sure he wants to be seen in front of construction cranes which actually are used to build things.
