In 1968, when Eldrige Cleaver wanted to run for POTUS the CA Sec. of State asked him for his BC and denied his request to be on the ballot because he was only 33 at the time. You can search very old records of births, marriages and deaths in my state's archives - but I don't think the archives hold records as recent as mid-20th century.

Who knows, maybe Hawaii's archives are different.
