Come on. Isn’t a JPEG enough? I’m sure I could walk into a job and show a JPEG of my Rocket Scientist Degree from Oxford and they’d accept it.

Very good. And this is really the crux of the whole matter. Anybody can produce a JPEG file that shows anything. I can make a JPEG that shows I have clear title to the Brooklyn Bridge. That doesn't mean I can find a fool to buy it. And it doesn't mean I collect tolls.
