I think your on to something here, basically and probably 50 years ago there was several times more people shooting others people, more people with guns going off accidentally, more stuff going on. People just didn't hear about it. Now days you hear about every little incident in the nation even though it is a faction of what went on 50 years ago and that is because the liberal media has an agenda and that is the same agenda the socialist/democrats have and that is micro controlling of the masses. Because they figure the masses are too dumb to control themselves. Back in the good old days you probably didn't hear about shootings outside of your own state, now you hear about every little shooting minutes after it happen on national TV, yes there is an agenda and that is to take away the guns from people, these media events play into the hands of the liberal media and socialist democrats. By nicking away at peoples rights they will pass one little law after another to take away those guns from us common folks, because us common folks are the biggest threat and the biggest stopping power in their way of doing it. Personally I think they will fail in the long run but they can make life miserable for us in the mean while, like the German nationalists during the 30’s and 40’s (WWII time), Like the communists during the cold war.

Well I think everybody gets my point whether I said it good or not.

Not everyone who goes to Gardena High is a gangbanger.

My husband and his brother both graduated from Gardena High. They are not, never were and never will be gangbangers.

You ought to have the AM change this title...It's not accurate.

It was reported about 7 hours ago only 2 were shot. Apparently no one cares anymore about accuracy...

lol...

/59.2% Hispanic (1,885)
1.4% White (46)
33.1% Black (1,053)
0.6% Native American (19)
4.7% Asian (149)
1.1% Pacific Islander (34)/

The school’s API for 2009 was 575 out of 1000. (API refers to test scores showing how good schools are.)
Compared with schools with similar socioeconomic characteristics, this school performed better than 30% of those schools. That is not terribly impressive.

Torrance, which is south of Gardena, has better schools.

I drove through Gardena many times. It is a diverse city.
Many Asian-Americans live in the city. I think a Japanese-American served as the mayor of the city at least once.

I don’t think public schools in Gardena are too good though...

The guy, who brought the gun, already was on probation for fighting on campus.

It is not the first time a student was injured by a bullet on an LAUSD campus...

The high school's name is Gardena not "Gardenia."

I see you’re one of those people who doesn’t understand that generalizations aren’t intended to include EVERY single soul, living ot dead, in the group or place under discussion. Not every sentence is going to have a disclaimer to satisfy you PC types. Get over it.

Maybe when your husband graduated it wasn’t a gang town, but it is now. Hawthorne, down the road, is worse, but Gardena isn’t far behind. It’s another one of hundreds of examples of towns and cities across America, nice, quiet places once upon a time, that are now or are becoming third-world shitholes full of uncivilized beasts who don’t deserve to be citizens of this beautiful country.

Gardena is a gang town now. Deal with it.

Gardena High School was rough when my husband graduated.

There was a lot of tension due to the forced integration that started in the sixties. It’s a big school. When my husband attended, there were three thousand students. He had to cross the freeway to get to some of his classes.

They’ve had metal detectors for a long time, but the campus is so large that things can be tossed over the fence and retrieved later.

When my husband was there, he got jumped by several kids who cut him. Afterward, one of the kids that jumped him was supposed to be expelled and the others suspended.

They showed up and threatened to really fix him after that. My husband drove a pickup truck to school. When he was threatened by these kids again, he put a shotgun in his truck in case he needed to defend himself. He told school officials and the police what he did and why.

That was before all the anti gun hysteria, so nothing happened to my husband for bringing his shotgun to school and once they finally got rid of these kids who cut him up, he quit putting the shotgun behind the seat of his truck.

Maybe I overreacted in my other post. I know how bad that school is. I know how bad that area is. Maybe my husband, and other kids that went to that school got through it alive due to prayers like Danae’s.

I’m not a PC type and I don’t appreciate your trying to label me. I didn’t try to put a label on you. I understand you didn’t mean everyone, but that was kind of an ugly way to put it.

Due to the way things are now and the upside down just plain wrongness of it all I can’t blame anyone for venting though.

FRegards.
