Nancy was VERY protective of her husbands health. This has to be killing her.
There's something very, very wrong with this guy.
I think it was telling at Reagan's burial when Nancy broke down and Ron and Patty couldn't help her. Mike, the step-son, stepped in and gently led her away.
Nancy Reagan, sadly, is a nut-case (remember her stance on fetal stem cell research?) and Ron Reagan is a pampered, spoiled mama’s boy. Of course she said it was great. The virtue gradient of that family went through the floor after the Great One died.
This turd proves that acorns can sometimes sprout light-years away from the tree that produced them.
She’s his mom and she’s 89 years old. What do you expect her to say?
Blood’s thick. I can see Nancy not wanting to publicly embarrass Ron. He’s an ass, but he’s still her son.
Maybe Nancy Reagan has Alzheimers...or maybe it’s just a mother overlooking the evils of her child.
She’s nearly 90. Of course she’s going to say she liked her little boy’s book, whether she read it or not. Ron jr is just another little MSNBC pissant.
What a goofball. She didn't read it.
Seriously, I can't imagine a single person actually reading this book, including the "author."
The Jane Wyman and Ronald Reagan union brought the only conservative thinkers into Reagan’s nuclear family, their daughter Maureen and adopted son, Michael.
The nucleus changed drastically with new age Nancy (ever the actress), flower child Patti and rebellious Ron, none who ever embraced a conservative thread to their various and sundry narratives. Miraculously, he overcame the drag of their liberalism by his love for Nancy, which kept her quiet during his lifetime, until the flawed stem cell campaign began, and no one paid all that much attention to the tantrums of the kids, thankfully. Patti & Ron never appeared to like their father, but Ron may have despised him. None of these three ever lived up to the legacy of Ronald Reagan, but drew virtually ALL their fame, gain and small sphere of influence from the man himself, as they were all rather empty vessels.
Revealing that Ron the rebellious developes this salacious
detail only to hawk his lead laden book.
Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me.
And somehow I don’t think Nancy is proud of a book that claims her husband had Alzheimers while he was in the White House.
Ron, Jr. and his sister, Patty, are both getting long in the tooth. Ron did say that his perception of there being some forerunner of memory loss in President Reagan at that time should no more affect his place in American history than other great Presidents’ afflictions. (Notice I say “his (Ron’s) PERCEPTION”.) Even IF half his brain were tied behind his back, President Reagan excelled magnificently; so Ron, Jr. and Patty both just have to accept that President Reagan was a GREAT President even if down deep it rankles their liberal souls. Nancy and President Reagan LOVED their kids to a fault.
I’d rather have President Reagan on his worst day than any of the clowns we’ve had since on their best days.
Momma’s proud of her little boy, he stayed inside the lines when he colored...
