I remember an observation made some years ago whose author’s name now escapes me—maybe Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams?: (paraphrased) “What do you think the socialists and communists in the U.S. did when the Soviet Union collapsed? Recognize the error of their ways and start voting Republican? No, they decided to infiltrate the major political party most consistent with communist goals—the Democrats—and use it to carry their agenda forward.”

Before the collapse.

Campus unrest in the late 60’s? The anti-war movement? Kent-State shootings where the radicals shot first? The anti-nuclear (of any kind) movement?

Many reports that the communists funneled money into the hands of agitators to help bring down America and get them out of Vietnam. Designed to stop our economic progress, stop our peaceful nuclear programs. It was a very effective program.
