The National Jewish Democratic Council, which is about as Jewish as the Westboro Baptist Church is Christian, required less than 72 hours to seek political profit from the mindless crime that was committed against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others. NJDC's new leader David A. Harris eagerly dipped his hands into the blood of the victims to demonstrate NJDC's ignorance, dishonesty, or both with regard to the Second Amendment.

As anyone who has ever fired a weapon at a cardboard target senses deep down, and as any well-trained law enforcement officer knows of a certainty, there is a tremendous, vast difference between knowing how to hold and shoot a handgun and knowing how to use that weapon successfully to defend yourself and others in a high-pressure, life-or-death situation as law enforcement officers train and prepare to do.

There is in fact very little difference, other than the willingness to confront a violent assailant to protect yourself or those for whose safety (e.g. wife, children, parents) you are responsible. If you put that willingness to defend yourself and others as opposed to cringing like a coward (which is the deep down issue with many gun control proponents) with the ability to line up the handgun's sights on the assailant and squeeze (not jerk) the trigger, you will defend yourself successfully.

I was thinking the same thing. First thing they did in the Jewish communities was disarm them. These people are either stupid or don’t know history. Or both?

Well The Nazis would put people in a position where they could not refuse. Ditto Stalin, Mao, pol Pot, etc. When I see stories like this I think it is a psychosis of a majority.

Not to generalize but the majority of Jews are very liberal and the small minority get it and are very conservative. They realize guns are protection - see Israel for a prime example.

They were known as kapos (concentration camp trustees), hence National Judenrat Democratic Kapos. (Judenrat = Nazi-appointed Jewish governing council)
