While he has amp up the production, his statements are electrifying. This will certainly heat up the competition. The physics of the situation aside, it is a quantum leap in energy production. If it pans out, the decibel level of the critics will subside. While in may not be fusion, it may be a con-job..................

... buyout the patent rights so it will never hit the consumer market.Assuming this thing actually works, if someone bought the patent rights, patent rights expire, after which the invention goes into the public domain for free exploitation by anyone who is so inclined.

Fusion is different than Fission.

Cold Fusion is in and of itself, a violation of the laws of physics. What laws of physics? There are no scientific laws that trump empirical evidence.

The telltale claim that this device gets 400 times more POWER out of it than is put in, is the most unadulterated crock of sh*t since Globull Warming. Not even the Sun can do that. What is the energy input to the Sun?

Making your own Farnsworth Fusor
*********************************EXCERPT*****************************************
Staying alive: Fusor Safety!
As with any nuclear-related project, safety must be taken into consideration. Here are some of the biggest dangers associated with this project:
- High Voltage; the voltages required in ANY kind of fusor are LETHAL! If you accidentally come into contact with the live wire, you will be dead before you even knew you made a mistake! If you get shocked, it my not be your first experience of electrocution, but it will certainly be your last!
- Mechanical Hazards; Poorly made vacuum chambers can implode, sending shards of glass and metal into your face. Welding torches are hot! Machining metal produces razor-sharp metal chips. Always wear eye protection when appropriate and avoid the use of glass in a vacuum system if you plan on going above 5000 volts.
- Radiation; this should be the least of your worries until about 15,000 volts of acceleration potential. At this point, x-rays start to emanate from viewports due to electron and ion bombardment of metals in the chamber. Always use a camera or mirror to peer into the viewport. X-rays can cause burns and lead to cancer. Above 40,000 volts, x-rays will start to come through the stainless steel chamber walls. At this point, you will need to use lead shielding. Neutron radiation is the most dangerous form of radiation known to man, but the fusor does not put out enough of it to be dangerous until about 45,000 volts. It can easily be shielded with water, wax or plastic. You can also minimize your exposure by standing well away from the fusor, or by operating it for only 20 minutes per week.

Send me a trillion dollars so I can see for myself. One Zimbabwe trillion dollar note?
To: PSYCHO-FREEP
If it is promising let the Italian Government or the EU fund it, why should it always be us? As an aside, 1 trillion or even $100B would have been an excellent start at building standardized nuclear reactors around the country to help alleviate our dependence on foreign sources of energy.

If had a device that produced more power than it consumed then I would sell the power and not the device. Coal plants, nuclear plants, hydro plants all produce more ENERGY than they consume.

400 times more out than in is real good, but all you really nieed is more than you put in. not .0001 percent more.. but 2:1? great - it powers itself
400:1 with explosions? not so great

From your link .... neutrons emitted during fusion: 1. D + D → T(1.01 MeV) + p(3.02 MeV) 2. D + D → He3(0.82 MeV) + n(2.45 MeV) 3. D + T → He4(3.5 MeV) + n (14.1 MeV) 4. D + He3 → He4(3.6MeV) + p(14.7 MeV) 5. T + T → He4 + 2 n + (11.3 MeV) 6. p + B11 → 3 He4 + (8.7 MeV)

What is putting the 'power' into the sun? The sun is basically a sort of a super lightning rod i.e. a focal point for cosmic discharge. The light you see is the same arc discharge you get from arc welders. As a star passes through regions of space with greater or lesser electrical potential difference from itself, it heats up or cools down which is what we actually observe in such things as the transition from the midieval climate optimum to the Little Ice Age, and which would be counter-indicated by the false idea of stars as thermonuclear engines. Stars are plasma-physics phenomena, and not thermonuclear engines.

Also the lack of discussion about the wavelength or energy of the radiation is also worrisomeYou got it right. Were in the hell are the high speed neutrons?
