How the heck did she get elected?

Long story short, New Mexicans are fed up with liberals, liberal policies, and anything that even remotely reeks of the corrupt Bill Richardson. I voted for Martinez, and am damned glad I did. That said, our old governor Gary Johnson catches a lot of flak here on FR, but he's a good man. Fiscally conservative, and mostly libertarian on social issues.

FANTASTIC! There may be hope yet. I am heartened since after such a long time of Richardson I thought NM was a full fledged liberal camp.
