Gun nuts showing off near site of Ariz. slay rampage (Barf Alert)

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Thousands of weapons enthusiasts, many openly packing heat, crammed into an Arizona gun show chock full of high-powered rifles and semiautomatic pistols yesterday -- a mere 13 miles away from last weekend's rampage.

Despite the 4,500 who filed into the Crossroads of the West Gun Show at the Pima County Fairgrounds throughout the day, a donation box at the entrance for the six dead and 13 wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, sat nearly empty.

The audacious showing came as Giffords continued her miraculous recovery, with doctors removing her ventilator by inserting a tube in her windpipe to allow her to breathe without the help of machines.

Some 7,000 people are expected to attend the two-day gun extravaganza that features more than 100 vendors hawking massive arsenals of AK-47s, assault weapons, sniper gear and ammo.

They never consider what could have been saved had several CCP holders been there. What lives could they have saved?

Even as the bird flies its further than 13 miles.

What matter, I’d prefer they hold hold the event at the lib First Amendment touting used bookstore south of Safeway.

The great irony is that Ms Giffords has guns, a Concealed handgun permit, and claimed to be a pretty fair shot.

For those of us that are familiar with the gun community Ms. Giffords would be quite at home at the gun show, were she healthy.
The author is an example of a primary idiot.

You can get 90% of the parts you need to make a flamethrower from Walmart. The other 10% from any hardware store.

I've seen people in South Texas make flamethrowers to set brush piles on fire.

When they clear the mesquite with a dozer each brush piles will be over a mile long sometimes. There might be 30 to 40 piles.

They will take a flamethrower and just drive along the pile hitting it every now and then the light it up. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of those things, but really cool looking from the back side.

“...The audacious showing...”
-
Was it “audacious” or was it “bodacious”?
I get confused as to which word to use where.

...openly packing heat...?"

That's Chicago, Al Capone, 1930s era lingo.

These same stupid "journalists" think you put bullets in clips.

Morons.

I want to go to a gun show like this one!

The ones I have attended lately haven't had squat for Kalashnikov rifles.

It’s becoming easier and easier to see the media as nothing more than big brother’s propaganda machine.

Why should it be Class III?
It’s certainly not full-auto and the range is severely limited.

It could be considered a Destructive Device, as are many 12 gauge shotguns, alas.

They aren’t regulated by the batfe, they are not a firearm.
However, they could be regulated by state law,but you would have to check into that per your state. States that regulate them are probaly few and far between as, it would complicate many other areas, such as brush burners.

Some farmers used to use them for burning brush, and is still common in some areas.

I actually did see a WWII era flame-thrower at a Dallas gun show, in the downtown convention center, once. But it was a Class III item, I bet.

Nope. Not Class III, not regulated at all, unless you spray weed killer with it.

I had one, sold it to a fella that rents them out at target shooting events and military reenactments at $150 a pop. He paid for the one he got from me with his first ten rentals.

You just missed the Indianapolis 1500 show, held at the Indiana AState Fairground last wekend. That's 1500 as in 1500 tables, and I'd venture an approximation that about at least one table in ten had an AK-semi of some kind on it, and there were several live honest-to-cookies full-auto capable AK and AK47s there too. And a great many other things.
