Why is it that every time we win we get snookered by this kind of fascist malarky?
I have been in my field for 30+ years, so when the locals formed a Meth Task Force, and didn’t notify me of it, I knew something was odd. At one meeting when I attended, the group was going to rename themselves Drug Task Force. This was because meth problem had been curtailed in our small county.
I simply asked where the figures came from and specifically asked the drug counselors if they had seen the curb in meth use. None had.
A local county commissioner moved to close the meeting. When noone seconded his motion, he got up, put his coat on and left. All eyes were on him. I never did find out what the agenda was that I had interupted.
I still laugh about it when I tell it around town.
