I wonder whether this plan will actually come to fruition. Robert Bobb (DPS Emergency Financial Manager) was recently halted from
laying off 88 bus attendants who work with special needs students which would have saved the district $2 million a year. Some of these students also have a nurse traveling with them, as well. (Other metro Detroit districts do not have nurses on the busses for students)

I am surprised Detroit is not in bankruptcy. I’m sure it will be one of the first to go down. But I guess they are trying to save those bus driver jobs, and if they file bankruptcy, that won’t happen.
