The Dimona complex in the Negev desert is famous as the heavily guarded heart of Israel’s never-acknowledged nuclear arms program, where neat rows of factories make atomic fuel for the arsenal. Over the past two years, according to intelligence and military experts familiar with its operations, Dimona has taken on a new, equally secret role —

Which just ain't so secret any more....

Leave it to the Times.

While I cannot stand the anti-American NYT, Dimona has been talked about for years in defense intelligence circles.

The Israelis are tight with security, so much tighter than we are here in the US. They were able to create and implement Stuxnet, a process which took several years, without a whisper of the project getting out to the rest of the world. Screw the NYT, they’re a day late on this one.
