Israel is, finally, investigating how fifth-columnist non-profits are being funded. So why are pols crying foul?
http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | Israel is today in the throes of a powerful backlash against the Knesset's decision last week to establish a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the foreign funding of Israeli NGOs that engage in political warfare against the state. Opposition leader Tzipi Livni claimed on Tuesday that the commission shows that "Israel today is deteriorating and abusing the very values for which we want to fight. The way that Israeli is presented by the belligerent, violent government is hindering Israel's ability to defend itself."
As head of the opposition, over the past two months Livni has angrily opposed every initiative supported by the government as loudly as she can, regardless of its merits. So it isn't surprising that she would condemn the commission. What is more jarring are the statements by Likud ministers condemning the Knesset move.
It has been known for years that European governments finance Israeli anti-Israel pressure groups. The exact amount of funding has never been determined. No one can tell the public whether or not these groups could survive without foreign funding. The Israeli public deserves to know just how Israeli these groups are and what foreign governments require them to do in exchange for receiving funding.
Some estimates place foreign funding for Israeli NGOs at NIS500 million per year. Some estimates have claimed that foreign donations make up the majority of many of the radical leftist groups' budgets.

I am just wondering how something is an NGO if its being funded by a government.
Israel is, finally, investigating how fifth-columnist non-profits are being funded... NGOs that engage in political warfare against the state. Opposition leader Tzipi Livni... has angrily opposed every initiative supported by the government as loudly as she can, regardless of its merits. So it isn't surprising that she would condemn the commission. What is more jarring are the statements by Likud ministers condemning the Knesset move. It has been known for years that European governments finance Israeli anti-Israel pressure groups... If we did that here it would be the demise of the liberal democrats and rinos. Not to mention if it were to be aplied to our media the MSM would dis appear in a puff of smoke.
The only reason the MSM is that way is that there’s no danger to them for their steady stream of lies, libel, and slander.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that both European governments and Arab enablers (like Saudi Arabia) are funneling tons of money into Israeli leftist NGOs. These self-hating Jews and their antisemitic cohorts want to destroy Israel. It has never seemed to bother the leftist fifth column that they will be destroyed along with everyone else if Israel goes down.
If politicians are screaming about investigations, then there is definitely something to hide. I hope the Israeli government keeps digging out these moles and traitors to expose them to the light of truth and justice.
And that really is the problem, isn't it.
A great many people suck up those three things and consider themselves to be well-informed.

THX THX.
Great seeing folks like you take up the issue.
It’s censorship, fascism and McCarthyism to look into the funding of an organization? Are they going to punish them for getting foreign funding, or just expose them? Well, then I guess all you out there in TV-land ought to have a bone to pick with campaign-finance “reform,” which not only requires disclosure of contributors, but also punishes the recipients of contributions over the legal limits.
It’s the steady diet of agitprop with no dissent that does it.
