The repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy may hit a road block in Congress next week.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-California, is drafting a bill that would change how - and possibly if - the repeal is implemented. The repeal law passed in December requires the president, defense secretary and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to certify that the military is ready for the change. Hunter's bill would require the four service chiefs to also sign off on the policy change.
At a December hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Army, Marine Corps and Air Force chiefs expressed concern about the effect a possible repeal of the ban on homosexuals openly serving in the military would have on active combat units.
Joe Kasper, a spokesman for Hunter, said the congressman wants the chiefs involved in the process to ensure the repeal "doesn't impact combat readiness."

This should pass the House.
Good for Hunter.
It may pass the House, at least it will tick off the perfumed princes including Gates and Mullen.
Both men are a disaster.
This is going to be interesting.
And I pray, ultimately successful. But we need to elect a POTUS who is opposed to this blatant gay agenda in 2012 to drive a spike thru it. THat eliminates many candidates.
On the other hand, DADT isn't the policy we want. Rather, we need to go back to the policy of ferreting them out and removing them, or eliminating them from service right at induction.
What happens here is they "come out" ~ Obama is replaced ~ they get booted out. It'll take a couple of years.
We more importantly need to figure out how to KEEP the Sexual Sadists out of the service. That's what those people were up to at Abu Ghraib. Our military doesn't need folks like that. All this latest nonsense from the Leftwingtards does is make it even harder to remove the sexual sadists and their strange little friends.
That is a harder task to sell to the GOP rank and file. But I agree. Go back to weeding them out, period.
Good post, I fully agree.
Just as drug use was practically eliminated in the military by random testing and a no tolerance policy they could do the same thing with sexual perverts. However it has to come from the top down and with the “diversity” thing the brass have now it won’t happen for some time.
Actually, it's over right now.
You nailed it there. With the O we have known for two years and more he wants a queer Military. Wants to be the Ruler of Sodom. We can expect nothing good from that anti-american.
God bless Duncan Hunter.
Before DADT they were just rejected. Is it any different now? Besides. How do they prove they are Gay?
Dear Lord, we ask you to take this abomination away from our armed forces and punish those who call this sin a “right.” In the Name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
Amen BUMP
Amen,I agree. Yo vi la luz tambien.
I second that blessing wish for Hunter’s success on this issue.
