The University of Arizona got the phrase on the T-shirts from Obama’s Organizing for America, the Jumbotron flashed APPLAUSE at just the right moments in the speech.... did the officials at the University know exactly where the applause lines in the speech were??
“Applause” on the jumbotron was transcription of the audience reaction as part of rendering the audio of the event for the deaf, not a directive.
Right on all points, also the prev poster mentioning the logistics of getting the t-shirts printed on such short notice, as likely was a container full sitting somewhere printed, packed and ready to go.
