I have this nagging feeling that the whole scene, including the shooting, was an Obama op. The man is a psychopath...nothing is off the table with him.

Flush that nagging feeling down the drain. Excluding all the obvious reasons why the ‘feeling’ is not realistic, the shooter in such a conspiracy would not have survived the massacre.
