Do you clap at a memorial?
I’ve been to a few, and I haven’t. Never have had anyone give a reason for any in attendance to either.
They are somber, sometimes funny [recollecting a funny, loved moment in the life of the lost one] events, but I have seen none “applaud”.
I haven’t walked out of one clapping and hopping around with a smile on my face and a new t-shirt to show for it.
This event was a farce. A sick display. Period.
Booing Gov. Brewer, cheering the one, “applause”, t-shirts, stickers. Really?
Beck sucking up is all the more sick because a conservative talkshow host has lended his credibility to the whole thing.
IMO, Beck has compromised his credibility and displayed poor judgement with his support on this.

I predict that as the word gets out of conservative criticism of the "together we thrive" message having been concocted to exploit the memorial, they will morph the slogan to something similar yet different enough to disassociate it from this farcical event.
Becck is becoming a moroon, or was he one all along. I guess with his rating in the tank he is moving to his backup position, socialism.
Right on all points, also the prev poster mentioning the logistics of getting the t-shirts printed on such short notice, as likely was a container full sitting somewhere printed, packed and ready to go.
Never let a crisis go to waste.

It’s funny you mentioned this b/c I listened to the Patriot channel all day on Thursday. The only 2 hosts to give obama kudos were Beck and Hannity. As a matter of fact Hannity compared it to an old Irish wake. The only common thread with these 2 are they both have shows on Fox; all the other hosts (Church, Wilkow, Levin) are radio personalities only. It made me wonder if they were told to “tone it down”?

Having this conversation the other night with my husband, it was opportune to share on this thread, which so aptly illustrates the problem. Way too many in the middle and on the right are willing to give the Democrat Communists the benefit of the doubt. Also way too many are so enamored of the concept of our so called “black” President, they will instinctively vote to keep him in office for that and that alone.
He was listening to an exact parody of a mormon sermon.
