IF Weirdowood produced family watchable movies it would make more money. And if it didnt cost an arm and a leg to go to the movie show, people could afford to go once in a while. How true...

If you know your comic book history, Batman always was a dark, dark character... ...he lost his parents to a murderer after all! I loved "The Dark Night"!

My wife and I had “It’s a Wonderful Life” in our Netflix queue recently. So campy and so great at the same time. I wish they could make more movies like that!
(Lest you think we are old codgers, we also laughed our arses off over “Scott Pilgrim Versus the World”)

Back in the day, Nicholas Cage was great in ‘Peggy Sue Got Married.’

There were ten and twelve year old kids balling watching that movie. Bawling or balling? There is a difference. LOL!!

Movies are made for the 35% of the population that’s liberal... and of that group most are made for liberals between the ages of 12 and 25 - do the math... It’s the same group that would be hard pressed to elect a dog catcher - no less keep an industry alive.

Indeed!

I got all choked up watching it again this year. I immediately put more Jimmy Stewart movies on my queue.

I like western and I watch Lonesome Dove and Commanche Moon at least once a month. Throw in Broken Trail and Open Range and I’m set for weeks. LOL!!

My friends and family think I’m strange because I absolutely detest animated kid movies. Everyone but me thinks they are cute, funny and entertaining. Give me movies with real people, lots of action and plots that
are realistic. To me, if a movie cannot depict a possible real life situation, it’s trash.

We've also have had Comcast like forever, since they picked up the contract with our Village. And we never ordered a movie or any 'pay tv' event. And certainly not any 'Adult' movies (hardcore sex).
This trash movie was in the Free Movie category.
Or it may have been under the Premium Channels category which you can get 'some' movies for Free if you're upgraded your cable package & get TCM, Encore and the Movieplex channels. (I did this so I could get TCM, the Military Chanel, Science Channel, National Geo and the History International channel)
I didn't even know about these other Free Movies under the Premium Category until fairly recently. The wife found it by accident.
Now the only thing we have to do is upgrade to the HD channel option. Only $8.00 a month more for two new HDMI cable boxes so we can get the most out of our New HD TVs (One 42" Plasma & One 27" LCD).

Thanks Dolly!
Have you seen ‘The King’s Speech’ yet?

Gee, with Hollyweird making masterpieces like that Plame piece, I just can't understand why...

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.

I saw “The King’s Speech.” An excellent, heart-warming movie about a brave man and a nation that rises to the ultimate challenge. Language occasionally gets a little raw, but never gratuitously, and there’s no soft-core porn or left-wing propaganda in it. It’s a great date movie if your date’s interest goes beyond vampires and femmy teen heartthrobs.
