Charles, like so many others in D.C., live in a bubble.

I have always like Charles Krauthammer but of late, I am questioning his views. He seems to be swinging back to the left..He has been sounding “establishment” these days.

Please add me to your ping list. You capture the most interesting articles. Secondly, does anyone else notice that our politics is falling back into the same states of CW1? Excluding the new faux states, of course.

He’s like most columnists. Playing both ends against the middle, until things shake out. Use to respect his opinion. Sad.

"Ultimately, a civilized society must disarm its citizenry if it is to have a modicum of domestic tranquility of the kind enjoyed by sister democracies such as Canada and Britain. Given the frontier history and individualist ideology of the United States, however, this will not come easily. It certainly cannot be done radically. It will probably take one, maybe two generations. It might be 50 years before the United States gets to where Britain is today. Passing a law like the assault weapons ban is a symbolic - purely symbolic - move in that direction. Its only real justification is not to reduce crime but to desensitize the public to the regulation of weapons in preparation for their ultimate confiscation." - Charles Krauthammer (from: 'Disarm the Citizenry', The Washington Post, Friday, April 5, 1996, page A19)
Do you need to know anything else about Krauthammer?

Charles is drowning in his own self-importance.
Obviously, he wants attention from Rush.

In all the reviews of the Wednesday night speech, etc. in Tucson, I have not seen or heard ANYONE, including Rush, mention something that JUMPED out of the TV at me during Zero’s speech.
At one point in the “memorial speech” after Zero made some sort of good point and applause erupted, Moochelle, and the man sitting on HER left, partially jumped up and high-fived each other! What sort of conduct was THAT for a respectful memorial service?!

I still like Krauthammer. He has not turned
But Rush got it and explained the phoniness of the whole event
While Charles Krauthmmer and the Fox All Stars were entranced by the Obama performance......
I could only take 30 seconds of the Kenyan. Seen all those vocal tricks and hand gestures before. Not impressed.

I saw nothing remotely similar when 12 service members were gunned down by that Muslim freakazoid
