I've long been a beholder of the belief that when things are surreal, out of touch, incredible, then something is amiss.

If you're right, then her injuries were not as proclaimed. Since, just after Obama left the room, he claims, "she opened her eyes." So his claim is, he, the great Obama was the divine intervention.

Hold on, I gotta hurl. Okay, back. Now, more to the point. Her injury may not have been as proclaimed. Shot thru the brain?

I've asked this before. So, I will ask again. Who returns to normalcy after being shot thru the brain?

Actually, I haven’t had much time as most here to follow this story...but what I did see and found rather odd was an interview with two doctors who were almost giddy recalling the possibility that their patient might open her eyes just in time for the President. Shock and awe, I tell ya....they seemed delighted it actually happened.

Considering all the talk of late about this specific incident, I found this ‘after-the-fact’ interview to be more than strange.

My Dad had major brain surgery in July. Aneurysm near the brain stem, and it took a 7 hour surgery to repair. Took him six months to get close to on the road to normal, and he isn't done yet.

Doc said the surgery was like getting shot in the head, and looking at the reports of Gifford's wounds, maybe more traumatic than her’s. He did open his eye and move some a few days after the surgery.

But the biggest thing is that there will be some major effects of the wounds. In short, her brain wiring is going to be all messed for a long time. She might, might, be able to resume her duties in a year.
