Congressman’s wife sentenced to jail for tax fraud (Tierney D-MA)

The wife of Massachusetts Democratic Rep. John Tierney was sentenced Thursday to thirty days in jail and two years of supervised release, five months of which will be spent under house arrest.

Patrice Tierney was charged with assisting in the preparation of false tax returns for her brother Robert Eremian. Eremian is currently wanted on numerous federal charges related to an illegal gambling operation operated from the Caribbean island Antigua.

Tierney was accused of managing a bank account for her brother’s illicit income and deliberately misstating information on her brother’s tax returns.

In October, Tierney plead guilty to four charges after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. The agreement, specifying two years of probation, three months of house arrest, and a fine, was rejected by U.S. District Court Judge William Young.

BINGO! I’m thinking Tierney’s (D) brother-in-law was trying to duck under the last twenty years of draconian militant feminist child support laws that the lefty loons themselves wrote and that leave hundreds of thousands of men indentured servants for 18 to 23 (in the blue states) years.

The child support industry is wrong; but funny that lefty advocates of debtor’s prison for unemployed dads through no fault of their own and totally unreasonable child support calculations try to go around the rules they make for other people.

Scratch that. The lefties do it all the time (See Charles Range.

..... and that’s how it goes in MA. Launder multiple millions of dollars and get 30 days in jail (the rest of the “sentence” = BS window dressing) ..... if you’re “connected”.

Nothing is on the level in this state.

System works swimmingly if you’re plugged in.

Her husband’s re-election was kinda depressing; Hudak was a worthy successor but couldn’t break through, despite Tierney’s wife on a huge count conviction, his protestations of ignorance worked on the voters.

Never mind that he literally voted for a bill that helped his brotherinlaw directly and his wife became the beneficiary of that largesse.

And people here (MA) dare criticize others in the US and the world for graft, corruption and cronyism!
