Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, who's contemplating a 2012 presidential run, will be dispensing political advice to congressional Republicans this weekend during their private retreat in Baltimore.

Barbour spokesman Dan Turner said the governor flew Thursday from Mississippi to the nation's capital.

"He's got kind of a mixture of meetings in Washington," said Turner, adding that some meetings are for state business and some are for politics.

Barbour and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are among the potential presidential candidates speaking during congressional Republicans' three-day retreat.

As much as I like Barbour, I am afraid the liberals will go nuts with the “he is a good ol suthern racist BS”

I hope he does run, and shames them.

While Nagin was yammering about a “chocolate city” and asking for federal handouts Barbour rolled up his sleeves and rebuilt the Mississippi gulf.

Barbour uses affirmative action, only he handles it from the opposite end.

The MSN dose not cotton to the self reliance thing.

Yep. Just heard ol’ Newty on Greta’s show saying he was going to speak at the retreat about, wait for it, a guest worker program. Blurgh.

When the words “GOP Retreat” are together “retreat” is a verb.

I worry about all of them. The story I keep thinking about is Hercules and the Augean Stables. Someone sure needs to come along and clean it all out.

Thanks for the ping!

I would love to hear him speak! More than that, I would love to hear him debate Obama. That would be so much fun to watch!

I hope you will ping us after this upcoming speech.
